Updates to HSBC Online Banking services

1. Log on to HSBC HK App
2. Tap the profile icon on the top right corner
3. Select 'Pay and transfer' 
4. Select 'Overseas ATM withdrawal limit'

2. Choose your credit cards from the account summary on 'Home' screen
3. Select 'Activate'

Set up the default debit account or adjust small-value payment limit on HSBC HK App in a few simple steps.

1. Log on to HSBC HK App
2. Tap the profile icon on the top right corner
3. Select 'Pay and transfer'
4. Select 'Small-value payment limit' or 'Selected debit account'

You can add a new payee on the HSBC HK App from November 2023.

1. Log on to the HSBC HK App
2. Select 'Pay & Transfer' at the bottom of the screen
3. Select 'Add a new payee'

You can set up and manage autoPay on the HSBC HK App from November 2023.

1. Log on to the HSBC HK App
2. Select 'Pay & Transfer' at the bottom of the screen
3. Scroll down and select 'autoPay'

We will no longer offer 'Register or view Faster Payment (FPS) registrations' on HSBC Online Banking after 17 November 2023. 

You can register for FPS on the HSBC HK App now.

3. Select ‘Pay and transfer’
4. Select ‘Register or view FPS registration’

We'll no longer offer Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment service from 17 November 2023 onwards. But you can still pay bills anytime, anywhere via HSBC Online Banking or the HSBC HK App.

1. Log on to HSBC Online Banking
2. Select 'Pay & transfer' from the top menu
3. Find 'Local transfers / payments' and choose 'Pay your bills'.

2. Select ‘Pay and transfer’
3. Select ‘Bill Payments’

To get a receipt, please contact respective merchants or charity organisations to arrange for one. 

If you require a cheque book, you can order one now by logging on to HSBC Online Banking. After 17 November 2023, you can order your HKD cheque book in different ways.

• Apply for one at any of our ATMs in Hong Kong
• If you have your Phone Banking PIN, call our customer service hotline. Simply say 'Order cheque book' when you hear "In a few words, tell me the reason for your call now.", after you've verified your identity.
• If you're an HSBC Premier Elite or HSBC Premier customer, you can ask for a cheque book via 'Chat with us' in HSBC Online Banking or the HSBC HK App.

After 17 November 2023, you can still request a credit card PIN via HSBC Online Banking, by going to 'Manage credit cards'.

Alternatively, if you have your Phone Banking PIN, call our customer service hotline. Simply say 'ATM card PIN' or 'credit card PIN' when you hear "In a few words, tell me the reason for your call now.", after you've verified your identity. Then, follow the instructions to request the respective PIN.

If you don't have a Phone Banking PIN or you've forgotten yours, please visit us at a branch to ask for an ATM card PIN.

You can view and download your eStatements and eAdvice via HSBC Online Banking or the HSBC HK App. 

After 17 November 2023, you can also update the password you use to view the eStatements and eAdvice you receive via email. Just follow these steps.

1. Open the email containing the eStatement or eAdvice
2. Select 'Manage your password' in the email attachment

We're discontinuing our chargeable eAlerts service from 10 November 2023 onwards. You won't be able to register for or subscribe to chargeable eAlerts in HSBC Online Banking. We won't charge you for any chargeable eAlerts that you're subscribed to, from November onwards.

We aim to provide you with a better experience for these services through HSBC HK App.
