I'm an existing HSBC customer. Can I open an HSBC One account or upgrade to HSBC One via Online Banking?

Yes, you can do so online unless you only have credit cards or safe deposit boxes with us. Depending on what kind of account you hold with us, here's how you can open an HSBC One account / upgrade to HSBC One.

  • Personal Integrated Account (held in your name only): simply upgrade to HSBC One via Online Banking
  • Non-integrated account such as a standalone current / savings account (held in your name only): open your HSBC One account online or via the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app
  • Premier customer, joint account or HSBC credit cards only: visit a branch to register for an HSBC One account
  • Advance customer: your account will be migrated to an HSBC One account automatically with the same account number

For more details, please refer "How do I apply for an HSBC One account".

Can I turn my current HSBC account into an HSBC One account?

Yes. If you do not have an integrated account with us yet, you're welcome to open an HSBC One account.

Can I open a joint HSBC One account?
