  • Enjoy a 3% per year increment on monthly guaranteed annuity during the first 10 years of the annuity period, and monthly non-guaranteed annuity supported by accumulated dividends that will kick in starting from the 11th years for coping with inflation

1 A monthly annuity payment means a monthly guaranteed annuity payment, plus a monthly non-guaranteed annuity payment (if any).

2 Age means the age of the life insured or the policyholder where applicable at his/her next birthday.

3 The dementia protection is an optional supplementary benefit requiring additional premiums. It is not applicable for aggregate premium policies and policies with 1-year accumulation period and can only be enrolled together with the application for the basic plan by any life insured aged2 between 55 and 70 years. Please refer to the respective concept flyer and supplementary benefit factsheet for details.

5 Additional accidental death benefit will terminate upon the end of premium payment period or payout of the relevant benefits or the policy is terminated (whichever is earlier), subject to a maximum benefit limit of HKD24,000,000/USD3,000,000 per life insured across all additional accidental death benefit issued by HSBC Life. Your policy will terminate once we pay this benefit.

6 Total basic plan premium refers to the total amount of premiums expected to be paid for the Basic Plan within the premium payment term. Please refer to the Policy Provisions for detailed terms and conditions.

7 Unemployment Benefit is only applicable to policyholder aged2 between 19 and 64 who is the holder of the Hong Kong Identity Card. The benefit will terminate on the policy anniversary at which the policyholder attains the age2 of 65 or all due premiums have been paid or your policy is terminated (whichever is the earliest). Such benefit is not applicable for aggregate premium policy.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited ('HSBC') is registered in accordance with the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41 of the Laws of Hong Kong) as an insurance agent authorised by HSBC Life. This product is a product of HSBC Life but not HSBC and it is intended only for sale through HSBC in the Hong Kong SAR. Your benefit is subject to the credit risk of HSBC Life. If the policyholder discontinues and / or surrenders the insurance plan in the early policy years, the amount of the benefit he / she will get back may be considerably less than the amount of the premium he / she has paid. Your premiums paid will form part of HSBC Life's assets. You do not have any rights or ownership over any of those assets. Your recourse is against HSBC Life only.

In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between HSBC and you out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, HSBC is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with you; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the above insurance product should be resolved between HSBC Life and you directly.
